Jet Orientation Course (JOC)

Jet Orientation Course (JOC) provides you with a transition from a piston engine aircraft to jet engine operations.
8 hours of classroom theory
  • Introduction of jet aircraft
  • Differences between the jet engine and piston engine
  • Basic principles of flying a specific airplane
  • Power concept
  • Systems familiarization
  • Automation
  • General handling and IFR flying in the jet environment
  • Precision and Non-Precision approaches
  • Checklist and Briefing philosophies as well as techniques
  • Mutual work and task sharing in the jet environment
  • Standard Operating Procedures
  • Cockpit Procedures Training (Mock-up)
JOT Practical

4 hours session in the FFS is divided into:

  • Pilot flying (PF)
  • Pilot Non-flying (PNF)
Minimum Training Requirement
  • At least 70 hours as a pilot-in-command of airplanes;
  • Valid multi-engine instrument rating;
  • Certificate of Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) Course completion;
  • ATPL / CPL licence
