Job Description:
Pier Seven Aviation FZC is into aviation training, having “Classroom Training Facility as well as various Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs)”. We specialize in Initial Type Rating and Recurrent Training programs for Pilots in Airbus and Boeing fleet.We are expanding our scope of training to include ATPL examination training and looking for Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (TKI) at our Sharjah office , who will take on the challenge of  delivering high-quality theoretical training for ATPL exams, ensuring trainees acquire the foundational knowledge required for their pilot licenses & certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach GCAA Theoretical knowledge subjects for ATPL examination.
• Be familiar with the training support (course notes, e-learning courses content or other materials).
• Be familiar with e-learning platform used to regularly access the student accounts.
• Prepare the lesson plan before every course.
• Monitor the student progress on classroom training and e-learning platform.
• Indicate to students the support material, specific documents.
• Inform the students in respect to progressive checks, examinations (partial and final), expected period and specific requirements, regulations, and targets.
• Ensure that an appropriate environment is available for training.
• Participate in the recurrent instructors training annually.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 years’ experience as an Instructor teaching minimum 5 of the listed ATPL examination subjects.

• CPL / ATPL
• Proficiency in English Language, ELP level 5 and above.
• Knowledge of and the ability to teach ATPL examination subjects.
• Certificate of Instructional Techniques / Train the Trainer (preferred).
• Excellent presentation ability, interpersonal skills, team oriented.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn new software and systems efficiently.
• Experience of working directly with regulators, Certification Bodies and other Standard organizations.
• Should have own transportation arrangements

• Conduct planned and unplanned compliance audits and inspections in accordance with the Compliance Monitoring Programme.
• Monitor compliance with:
  • Applicable aviation authority regulations (e.g. EASA Part-ORA, Part-FCL, Part-ARA, GCAA CAR-ORA, CAR-FCL or equivalent)
  • Approved ATO manuals, procedures, and policies
• Verify compliance of:
  • Training delivery (theoretical and practical)
  • Instructor, examiner, and assessor qualifications
  • Student records, examinations, and training files
  • Facilities, equipment, and training aids
• Identify, classify, and document findings and observations.
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure timely and effective closure.
• Maintain compliance records, audit reports, and regulatory tracking logs.

• Support the implementation and continuous operation of the Safety Management System.
• Assist with:
  • Hazard identification and safety reporting
  • Safety risk assessments and mitigation tracking
  • Occurrence reporting and investigations
  • Safety Promotion
• Monitor safety performance indicators and trends.
• Promote a positive safety culture within the ATO.

• Review and monitor compliance of ATO manuals, including:
  • Management System Manual
• Support document control, revisions, and authority approvals.
• Ensure manuals accurately reflect operational practices and regulatory requirements.

• Supports Compliance Monitoring Manager and Safety Manager in preparation for authority audits and inspections.
• Assist in responding to authority findings, observations, and correspondence.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on ATO & FSTDO operations.

• Monitor and verify completion and effectiveness of mandatory compliance and safety training, including e-learning.
• Maintain training records and competency matrices related to compliance, safety, and regulatory awareness.
• Identify training gaps arising from regulatory changes, audit findings, safety reports, or management reviews.
• Coordinate timely completion of initial and recurrent compliance and safety training.
• Review, update, and control compliance and safety training modules to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, approved manuals, and SMS objectives.

• Analyze audit and safety data to identify systemic issues.
• Recommend improvements to processes, procedures, and training.
• Support management review activities related to compliance and safety performance.

• Degree or diploma in Aviation, Safety Management, Quality, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in aviation compliance, quality, or safety within an ATO or similar aviation environment.
• Sound knowledge of ATO regulatory requirements (e.g. EASA Part-ORA / Part-FCL or equivalent).
• Experience conducting internal audits or compliance monitoring activities.

• Compliance or quality auditor training (e.g. ISO 9001, aviation compliance auditing).
• Safety Management System (SMS) training.

• Strong regulatory knowledge and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and objective judgement.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and confidentially.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools.

• Office-based with regular access to training facilities.
• Occasional travel may be required for audits or inspections.
